Supporting Learners with Modernized Learning Spaces

For students and faculty, the digital teaching-and-learning environment must be invested in and continuously improved upon. At Northeastern, instructors are empowered to identify the tools that support their pedagogical goals, while learners access a rich variety of learning experiences—from personalized classroom solutions to recorded lectures that can be archived, shared, and updated.

The NUflex Model

Northeastern’s NUflex Model allows faculty to teach students who are both in the classroom and at a distance. NUflex ensures a safe in-person experience for classroom participants to prevent the spread of COVID-19, while simultaneously enabling full participation in classroom activities to those at a distance.

Learning Management Systems

In the Digital University, technology should meet learners’ needs—anytime, anywhere, and with anyone. Northeastern puts the academic pursuits of students and faculty first with canvas: an open, intuitive, and cloud based LMS that streamlines all the digital tools and content that teachers and students love, for a simpler and more connected learning experience.

Videography Services

Northeastern offers video and digital media services to faculty through in-house videography professionals. This offering enables instructors to record their lectures with high-production equipment, along with editing services in a studio setting for optimized content delivery.

Consistently Enhanced Classroom Equipment

Media design and A/V operations teams provide instructors with the lecture space needed to convey their disciplinary expertise—using modern computers, projection materials, and more.  Plus, sessions are available for instructors to get hands-on digital experience in a simulated classroom environment.
