The Northeastern research community has a new resource to help in daily research computing needs. In time for the new school year, Northeastern ITS launched a service portal dedicated to research computing. This portal is just the first in a line of changes we plan to implement to support research computing activities across the university.   Northeastern researchers have access to high performance computing clusters and storage through the university’s Discovery Cluster. The Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) houses this cluster for Northeastern. For current users of the cluster, the new service portal is where you can now submit software requests, report issues, and communicate with ITS. Alternatively, researchers seeking access to the Discovery Cluster can request it through the portal. This service portal also has a knowledgebase that will expand over time. Access the research computing portal on your device. Once there, it will ask for your myNortheastern username and password. If you are not a member of the Northeastern faculty, staff, or student community, you will need a sponsored account to access the portal and request access to the Discovery Cluster. Northeastern ITS is committed to supporting the university’s mission in advancing knowledge. We want to positively impact your research efforts. Therefore, we will be rolling out additional features and services to better help meet your computing needs. Stay tuned for further updates!
